I threw away the obvious

I took a plane from here to there
And I thank my friend for that
I saw things I’d already seen
But what a different view I had

Maybe it was true
Sitting in a box somewhere taking up room

Turning back the clock now
In my mind
I can see whatever I want
At any time
And all these pictures that I have now
I’m throwing them away
Drove up to visit my folks
Just to see if they were okay
There’s photos of when they were young
And to me they still look the same
Somewhere there’s picture of people
That fell in love back then
